The Ark-La-Tex Oilmen's Golf Association, established in 1945, sponsors the oldest oilmen's tournament in existence. The formation of the Oilmen's Golf Tournament came about through the Oil Men's Petroleum League in 1946. The Board of Directors is comprised of 20 industry professionals in the regional area.
An objective of the Ark-La-Tex Oilmen's Golf Association is to provide financial support through scholarships to one or more deserving college students who have expressed a potential interest in pursuing a career in the oil and gas industry.
